Captain and commanding defender Berat Djimsiti is Albania’s key player. The Swiss-born 31-year-old, who switched allegiance to Albania later in his career, has made over 200 appearances for Atalanta and is known for his leadership and defensive prowess.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Albania’s hallmark is their solid defense and quick counter-attacks. Landmark wins in qualifying, such as the 2-0 victory over Poland and the 3-0 pummeling of the Czechs, showcased their ability to defend resolutely and capitalize on scoring opportunities.
